RTU
A Robot Transfer Unit (RTU) is a linear positioning system that extends a robot’s working envelope by allowing it to travel along a guided track. This added mobility enables a single robot to service multiple workstations—such as welding cells, assembly stations, or material-handling areas—greatly increasing system flexibility and productivity. RTUs enhance cell layout options, optimize floor space, and reduce the need for additional robots, making them a key component of scalable, high-throughput automated manufacturing systems.
